History

Syrgis was formed as a holding company of Edgewater Capital Partners in July, 2000, when we acquired Garrison Industries of El Dorado, Arkansas.  Garrison Industries has since been renamed Lycus, Ltd.  Syrgis added P Chem of Latexo, Texas, to its group in April, 2004, and H&S Chemical Company of Covington, Kentucky, in August, 2005.  With the acquisition of H&S, Syrgis Performance Products formed its headquarters in Covington. 

The acquisition of the organic peroxides business of Norac in August, 2007, brought about the formation of Syrgis Performance Initiators.  This entity consists of two groups formerly known as Norac Peroxides (US) and Norac Andos AB (Sweden).

We look to build a group of unique, niche market leaders in the specialty and performance chemical segments, focusing on companies with entrepreneurial, customer-focused cultures with centuries of specialized expertise.
